I'm sitting here at my laptop, racking my brains trying to think of something clever to say by way of introduction to my new website. Yes, that's this new website right here. If all is working according to plan, though, chances are you might be reading this post over on the livejournal, even before knowing this site exists, because it should automatically be feeding through, thanks to the magical wonders of RSS and internet trickery, (and thanks to the advice and technical assistance of Billy, and Pete, without whom I'd still be getting frustrated trying to work out how to format the things I wanted).
Since this is a brand spanking new website, I feel like maybe an introduction is in order, even if the first people to read this are bound to be those who already know me, but I've already stuck up an "about" page, so you can read that, instead.
There's also a section on the links page, of all most of the other places you can find me online. Delicious linkage feeds into the main blog, so it'll be readable on the livejournal as well, but other activity won't get fed into the livejournal, so you might want to update your RSS-readers where appropriate. Some of them will use the magical wonders of RSS and internet trickery to feed into mondoagogo.com, though. Twitter updates will feed into the sidebar (which means no more Loudtwitter updates on the livejournal, but I'd already turned them off a few weeks ago, anyway), and activity on Good Reads and Flickr should feed into the sidebar as well, although the Flickr thing doesn't seem to be updating at the moment, for some reason. Occasionally some stuff spotted on Google Reader will probably feed into a box on the sidebar, as well, although I'm still messing around figuring out exactly what content I want in the sidebars. People who were following my Tumblr may have recently noticed that it became almost entirely word-free, as I decided to use it as strictly a visual scrapbook (captions beneath images are usually provided by the creators of those images, not me), and it'll remain that way, probably getting as much, if not more, in the way of regular updates than this site (it's pretty post-heavy, which is why I took most of the wordage out). Proper long blog posts will of course go here on mondoagogo.com.
So that's the new site, then. Now I suppose I'd better get on with filling it with some actual content. But that'll come in other posts. Exciting, isn't it?
